The rules bit
Terms of participation
Rails Builders is a small, live-first group for people building their own products with Rails. These plain-English terms describe the deal when you join.
Updated 23 August 2026
The deal
You bring one main product, show up for the live sessions, and treat the other Builders and their work with respect. Rails Builders provides the group, session format, and shared context in good faith.
Seats and participation
Places are limited. Missing three live sessions in a row may open your place for someone on the waitlist. You can withdraw at any time from your dashboard, and an Administrator may remove an account that disrupts the group or misuses the service.
Your work stays yours
You keep ownership of your products, code, ideas, and profile material. You choose whether your Builder profile appears publicly. Anything shared in a live session should be treated as group context, not material to republish without permission.
Sessions, transcripts, and AI
Sessions may be transcribed so participants can keep the context and receive optional summaries or trend analysis. The Privacy notice explains what is stored, who can access it, and how to request deletion or correction.
Optional Slack access
The private Slack channel is optional and is not the centre of the Program. Access is included for Active Builders at no cost.
No guarantees
The group can offer momentum, feedback, support, and the occasional useful ass-kicking. It cannot guarantee that a product ships, succeeds, earns money, or that every service remains available without interruption.
